Our Story

Welcome to the world of exceptional coffee from Myanmar

A place where every cup tells a story of community, tradition, and sustainability. Our coffee is lovingly grown by local farmers, many of whom are women, ensuring that the unique flavors of each region shine through. These farmers initially received training from the Myanmar Civil Society for Sustainable Living, with a mission to replace opium farming in the PA-O region with a more viable and valuable crop—coffee.

Our journey began with a deep sense of responsibility to help those in need. We saw an opportunity to empower local communities, particularly women and children who had limited access to resources and opportunities. Recognizing the potential of Kayah’s coffee farmers, we created a pathway to market their exceptional products.

By partnering with coffee industry experts, we introduced training on improved harvesting and processing techniques, ensuring that the highest quality beans could reach the world. As we continued to grow, we expanded our efforts to work with farmers in the PA-O region, increasing recognition for both Kayah and PA-O coffee. But our vision didn’t stop there. We set our sights on the northern region of Myanmar—Kachin Highlands.

In Kachin Highlands, we began sharing the knowledge we gained in Kayah, guiding local farmers in successful planting, harvesting, and processing techniques. In collaboration with PA-O experts, we brought their methods to Kachin Highlands, offering coffee seedlings to farmers and planting the seeds for what we hope will be a thriving specialty coffee industry in this pristine region.

Through these efforts, we aim to not only cultivate exceptional coffee but also to preserve the land and the environment that make it possible.

Our mission is to empower farmers, nurture the land, and share the exceptional coffee of Myanmar with the world.
